FPA: Day 2

Hello,

Today was a short day for us, since we had to do our presentations to our sponsor.  We went into work in suits and ties and hung around for a few hours practicing our presentation.  Then we jumped on the train back to central Melbourne and met up with the AFAC and MFB groups (other groups we went to Australia with) at the AFAC building.  There, we presented in front of fire protection officials from all over the country.  I think they liked us.  Now we have to do one more presentation on Thursday and a teleconference next week.

So right now, we've got plans to go on a tour of the Great Ocean Road this coming weekend.  Here's a link about it:

There are seven of us going, I think (Me, John, Potts, Kemal, Renda, Greg and Ashleigh) so it should be a lot of fun.  Also, one of the other groups (CSIRO group) has a sponsor who is taking us all to a "footy" game, which is like a cross between football and soccer.  Here's a link:

It looks like it should be a lot of fun.

I'm still pretty lost around this city.  I need to try and figure out the names of all these streets so I know where the trams are going.  The city streets are made up of four lanes.  There are two lanes going each way: one lane is for cars and the other for trams.  Also, everyone drives on the other side of the road.

A typical tram in Melbourne.  They are all over the city.

Train map.  We live near Melbourne Central and work in Box Hill.

Tram network.  It still confuses me.

Anyways, the Internet is slow right now so I'm going to head back to my room.
